Security Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When a key is registered, the transponder key ECU outputs the key registration condition by lighting up, blinking or turning OFF the security indicator light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:

When the transponder key ECU is replaced, reregister the ECU - ECM communication ID THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM: REGISTRATION (2008 Sequoia)+ .

PROCEDURE

1.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)

(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

INSPECT TRANSPONDER KEY ECU


(a) Remove the transponder key ECU with the connector still connected THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: TRANSPONDER KEY ECU: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia) .

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

Engine immobiliser system is set

Alternating between 11 to 14 V and below 1 V

(c) Reinstall the transponder key ECU.

3.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)


(a) Disconnect the H32 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the I22 meter connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(d) Reconnect the ECU and meter connector.
